It would be hard to find a more perfect location than Gorse Cottage.
The cottage is on a country lane with no houses in front or behind. Our front garden looks out directly on to the New Forest and a secluded back garden overlooks fields where horses graze. Ponies, donkeys, pigs and deer are often to be seen outside the front gate. The cottage is situated a mile from the popular village of Brockenhurst in the heart of the New Forest, where the main line station connects London and Bournemouth.
Every photograph of wildlife and forest pictured on this site was taken within 400m of the property – you can’t get much closer to nature than that.

Guest Reviews
“Brilliant location, clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the area, great for walks in the forest and short trips to the coast. Nice to have a choice of pubs in the village, particularly enjoyed The Snake Catcher. Trips out included Beaulieu Castle, Peppa Pig World, Circular walk to Burley, Blackwater Arboretum trail. All great. Would recommend cottage and location.”
